is it an anemone or something else.. does it need to be removed or is it safe to leave. its kinda pretty with long flowing clear things... it fully retracts into a button on the rock when disturbed.

It looks like a Corynactis, cup coral, perhaps. They are harmless, but do require some solid food. Google should turn up some images.

Balanophyllia sp. (would be my guess) AKA Hidden Cup Coral, or Cup Coral.

Thanks for letting me know what it was. Its a hidden cup coral. When you say solid foods what do you mean by that. I already dose with trace elements. Is that what they need or something else. They are really pretty and i dont want them to parish because i am not sure of what they need to eat.

I'd skip the trace elements, personally. The coral would appreciate some good-quality fish food. They don't have any photosynthetic symbionts, so they must capture all their food.

Just use a turkey baster and squirt a lil bit of food at it when you feed
