Can anyone identify the issue? Brown Jelly?

Hi. I noticed the candy cane not doing so well.. It got pretty scratched up on the transportation. I see some skeleton exposed after acclimating the coral.

After 3 days, I noticed this brown stuff. It looks like fish poop almost. Soft.. it's covering 1 and half head of the coral.

is this the brown jelly? I only assume it because it's brown in color and it's soft. It's only covering the coral. As if I can dust it off..

Throw it out. Candy canes are so cheap. Not worth the risk.
