Morning everyone,
Ok here we go again. I try to slove one problem then I noticed another.
I really don't know where this can from but it's there and it looks like a small starfish.
I thought it was just something growing like that coraline algae that grows on live rock. Then I saw it move ok now this changes everything.
So does anyone know what this is.
That's the best pic I can take since its so small and it hides.
I've had so much bad news I hope this is a good one.

Ok I didn't want to write another thread. I was looking for that starfish looking thing and I noticed this web looking thing right above my coral in that little hole. It looks like a spider web and that little white tiny things hanging in it. Can't tell to much on the photo but it does move like a spider web when the wind blows it. This case it's my fan blowing it and that's why it waves in the water. So am I getting ready for a infestation or is this the work of fish or my snails. I have no idea does anybody?

Thanks in advance. @rmyvet

The little star is an asterina star. Most believe them to be harmless and they are scavengers, so can be good to have in the system. The web like thing it most likely a type of tube worm. I can't think of the name right now, but they are also quite common and harmless, though they can be distracting to look at. If you don't want it. You can try to remove it, though they can be difficult to remove, or you can cover it with some putty or super glue.
