can blue tang and Powder blue be in the same tank ?

if anything i would add the PBT last, i had a powder brown in with an orange shoulder, and added the powder brown last and they never fought. Powder's tend to be on the mean side, so anything added after them will probably get picked on.

hippo . mine is 100 gallons. i have powder blue now and thinking to add a tiny hippo

Don't add a hippo. They need much larger tanks, as in 8' 240 gallon tanks or bigger. Even if you do add it, it will likely be harrassed severly and not eat eventually starving and dying. That is worst case scenario, but PBTs are very aggressive to any new additions because they don't stop picking on them after a week like most other fish or tangs for that matter do. You tank may also be on the small side for a PBT, 6' 125 gallon tank is the minimum for them. What are your dimensions?

PBT are territorial, but some are more agressive than others. As mentioned try to put it in last. I can't get keep any other tang with mine even removing it for a few weeks and placing it back in. I've had it for 12-13 years now and is my favorite so the other tangs go....

I currently have a power blue, a blue hippo, and a purple tang in a 55 gal QT tank. I have had them in there for 2 months and at first the powder blue and the purple fought but now they all get along. I am just finishing up the last few things I need to do before I move them to my 210 that currently has a large Yellow tang. so YES you can do it.. The Powder blue and blue have gotten along from day one.

Do you have any idea how that would turn out if you kept those three tangs together in that tank until they lived out their lives? The OP is asking for long term, a QT isn't long term by any means. 2 months is not an adequet amount of time to see how well fish will get along together. Sure the tangs will be okay for a few months, but what happens when they all reach 5", if they don't have their growth stunted before then, and are starting to get aggressive? The PBT would probably be the victor and control the tank after killing the other two. I am not trying to be snotty or rude, just pointing out things that you may not realize.
