Can different types of torches touch eachother

I just picked up a tri colored torch and would like to locate it next to my gold torch. Can the 2 different species touch each other and be ok?

I've always been under the impression that Euphyllia corals could touch each other without any problems, but there was a thread not to long ago where people were saying that they have seen one torch beat up another. (different morphs)
You could try placing them next to each other, but don't be surprised if something like this does happen. GL.

Frogs and hammers have been known to be fine together, torches need the wide birth. I have yet to see torches not get along in a group, but anything is possible.

I agree when they are the same but these 2 are different so it would be nice to find someone with direct experience to chime in ...

found this early ...

"The Torch Coral is peaceful to its own genus, but will attack other genera within its family. "

now I just have to figure out what it means ....

Well if that statement is true then they are all fine next to each other as they are all classed as E. Glabrescens. I have an Indo with an aussie directly touching with no issue.

Torch genus: Euphyllia. Torch family: Euphyllidae. Other genera in that family: Catalyphyllia, Nemenzophyllia, Plerogyra, and Physogyra.

Catalyphyllia - Elegance Coral
Nemenzophyllia- Fox Coral
Plerogyra- Bubble Coral
Physogyra - Pearl Bubble Coral

can you post a picture of the tri color torch? sounds awesome!

I have gold, purple, green.. never seen multi color ones
