Can Dino's jump between tanks?

I'm having my first battle with Dino's since I started reefing. Strange thing is, it started in my mangrove tank which is tied to my main system. Not a hint of Dino's in my display. The question is, what would cause it in one tank and not the whole system, and can it spread to all tanks in the system?

NO3- 4ppm
PO4- .03

I had a similar dino issue just a few weeks back when I added a frag tank to my 120. In my case they did make it to the main after about 2 weeks.

I added a 40 watt uv and within 24 hours they were not growing back in the morning. 72 hours they were totally gone.

My NO3 was 4 ppm and my phosphates started at .1 but have been dropping since the bout and are now .02.
