Can firefish get ich?

I bought two firefish today and I currently have them in my QT tank and was wondering how long I should keep them in there for.

They don't get ich ordinarily, but best watch them for a while anyway, since you've got the qt: put some eggcrate on the qt top: they're notorious jumpers.

I had a purple firefish awhile ago. I skipped the quarantine, and it died a week later. Im pretty sure it was due to internal parasites. I would give them enough time to make sure their eating, and behaving normally. I would wait at least two weeks.

How do you know it was a parasite that killed him?

He dissected the fish with an electron microscope...there was a whole thread on it.

ok ive got a better question ???? how do you catch firefish that alrdy have ick? and live in a center support rock in a 20 inch deep structure?
