can i add another clown?

hey guys,

I have had 2 fancy clowns since my tank setup, about 8 months old. they were very small when i introduced them to the tank and have grown to about 1inch maybe a little bigger.

As far as i can tell they had not paired.... they did seem to be courting or something, one eventually became darker and more dominant, the other did the passive movements of "shuttering" and what not when the bigger was around. This has been going on for about 4 months. What cues that they have paired?

Anyway, the less dominant one went carpet diving yesterday. I found him all dried up like jerky today.

Can i get another clown? does it have to be the same species? should i just truck on with the one clown and not risk it?

Best to stick with the same species of clown.
If you can find one that is smaller than your current clown is now, it shouldn't be a problem.

You must have a haddoni LOL. I lost two occe clowns that way. I've moved to Clarkii clowns and haven't had a problem. They've been in carpet heaven since the day they were put into the same tank.
