Gobies are passive fish and require a habitat that matches their personalities. Damsels have been known to be able to ward off such predators as grouper on natural reefs. So, I would just stick with your damsels in a 14 gallon cube. Your damsels will outgrow your cube as well eventually. Many get much larger than most people believe. Try www.liveaquaria.com or www.marinedepotlive.com or www.fishbase.org for statistical data on your peticular damsels.
damnsels are agresive towards any fish no matter the size. theyre very teritorial and if you put the three fish together in a 14 gallon tank its a bio-load overkill, unless you like changing filters every 5-7 days. and alot of deteris accumulation will require alot of cleaning to keep the ammonia and nitrate levels low. so, in short, i wouldnt.
