Can I add Live sand now?

Oh, I doubt that! Probably from the rocks don't you think

Am a big anti-ponent of 'live' sand. Have examined more than my fair share of sealed bags and never spotted anything alive. People want to waste their money, fine; big boondoggle though.

:fish1: Hi calore, would you be a proponent of using live sand if it was collected from the outer reefs off South Florida? I am, as it is full of life, that you can see, as far as bagged live sand, it probably is alive, with just bacteria though. :fish1:

I get real live sand from Tampa Bay Saltwater.
Comes with all kinds of beneficial life in it.
It's the first thing that goes in the tank, then the live rock.

If you used the off the self "live sand" it did not have copepods in it what so ever. Heck even the manufacturers of these sand don't even advertise this. Its just "bacteria"
