Can I Add More Live Sand

I recently lost my diamond goby after almost four years. I would like to get another, but my sand bed has diminished to 1-1.5" over the years. My tank is a ten gallon tank with two clown fish, a cleaner shrimp, some hermit crabs, a couple of nassarius snails, and two trochus snails. The tank has been set up for 19 years (I got the clownfish about 18.5 years ago), and I changed the sand about 10 years ago. Is it safe to add more live sand to give the new goby more sand to sift? Thank you for the help.

You can. Use a section of 2inch pvc pipe with a funnel to allow the sand to get to the bottom of the tank.
