But if you're really paranoid your best solution would be just to QT it in a seperate fishless tank for a few weeks untreated to "starve" potential parasites..

But IMHO it's pointless and unecessary.

I just received a chili coral from live aquaria and it has an aptasia anemone on it. Does the California location live aquaria have fish less systems?

What should I do about the aiptasia?

You can treat aiptasia with Joe's juice, lemon juice, kalc paste or a number of other means, but I've always had better luck with peppermint shrimp.

As to your original question, I would not subject a worm to a coral dip.

Don't dip the worm, coral dips are intended for corals and are harmful to worms on said corals. I suspect the dip is quite bad for large fanworms.

Invert systems are normally kept around SG 1.025. Fish systems at large distributors such as the one "used" by LA are kept around 1.017. I think you can answer your own question.

The structure of your earlier response to Steve seemed to be challenging his comment about LA invert-only (therefore, presumptively ich-free) systems by pointing out that you had gotten a coral with aiptasia on it. That's why I replied the way I did.

If inverts are kept (and shipped) at 1.025 and fish are kept (and shipped) at 1.017, they do not keep fish with the inverts in California or Wisconsin. Now, the Florida location for clean up crew is a different story completely.

Do you mean ORA in Florida? I've heard they are very clean in terms of being low on the pest-o-meter.

So by accident I dipped my feather duster in Coral RX...he's a sure gonner right, like dead as a doorknob type of deal or do they ever pull thru due to ******* tank keepers.
