can i get a tang

I see why people would like that angel but I don't think it's the one for me, is there any other fish people would Recommend

What type of corals do you keep?

If you don't have any brain coral, I would definitely try the potters angel. My 11" queen angel only eats polyps that I place at the bottom of the tank. All the rest of the polyps and other coral he leaves alone... Your small angel should be fine as long as you keep him well fed.

Also make sure you qt him to make sure he is eating properly and disease free.

I can't say for sure, I decided I wanted to keep angels and didn't mind what they ate. I have a 4 head hammer coral and mine doesn't even look at it.

Picking may or may not be a problem for your coral. If it is a fast grower I wouldn't worry that much, unless of course the angel continuously picks it to death. My angel picks at my 1 kenya tree all the time and it still grows like crazy.

You could try the angel, and if he tries picking at it too much then try moving that coral to a higher location in the tank, or a location the angel doesn't swim very much. IMO my angel only eats corals at the bottom of the tank, and ones near his cave.

thanks for your opinions every one ive dicided to go for an angel the whole tang thing sounds too complicated for my situation, thanks again everyone. btw how hard is the potters angelfish to take care of??? i also have a clam can that be a problem???

The potters angel wonmt be so hard to take care of if you get past the intial month or so of acclimation. Make sure to feed lots of vitamin C and garlic for immune systems.
