Can I get an ID on these seahorses? I've had them for almost a year. They were sold to me as "dwarfs"

Definitely not H. zosterae, commonly known as the Dwarf Seahorse. Quite possibly H. fisheri which is highly unusual to get from a store.

If you want the Dwarf Seahorses, I would be willing to work trade for a small herd of zosterae for these. I have a lonely male fisheri looking for a mate.

Dan. I live in PSL.
I got these at Fintastic Aquariums in Jensen Beach almost a year ago. Id love to meet up with you.

I saw you were in PSL. I drive around PSL 3 to 6 hours day with my other job.

If these are what I believe they are, they most likely came in with an order from Hawaii as they sometimes do. Some call them the Hawaiian Dwarf, combined with their small size, they are often misidentified. I would have to see them up close to positively identify them

I am easy to contact, just take a peak at my profile.

It was a pleasure meeting you today Dan. Thanks for letting me pick your brain and giving me a positive ID on the seahorses.

Thanks Mary! It was a pleasure meeting you as well.

For those following along, it was suggested on another forum that these were H. comes (tiger tail seahorses), after getting a close up front view, I would agree that these are indeed H. comes. They are really small, but very nice looking specimens.

Glad to see you got positive identification on these guys! I didn't think they were dwarfs when i saw the picture!
