Can i grow hard corals under LED's

A very popular question i am trying to figure out. Can i grow hard corals under LEDs or even grow them under the biocube lights(the ones that come with it)...ive been trying to look for LEDs that will allow me to grow Hard corals(such as acroporas and so forth) in my biocube...help me please!

yes you can grow sps under leds in your tank its going to cost a bit but you can. as far as the stock lighting maybe cap corals but beyond that I would say no

The zoas under my par38 are growing faster and coloring more intensely than under my t5. About half of my sps are doing well under the LED, the rest experience bleaching if they get too much light.

As others have already mentioned, you can grow SPS corals under LED's, but may have a hard time with just the stock Biocube PC lights. You will find a lot of info here on RC about growing corals under LED, you just have to search for it. Some LED put out a tremendous amount of PAR (and PUR?) and can bleach corals if they are not acclimated to it.
