i was wondering if I can i have a percula clown. I was wondering if i can't put a clarkii clown. Good deal 20 buck @ LFS.
cute fish also

I'm not sure about the clarkii, but i had two perculas years back that became a breeding pair. It was very interesting.

The Clarkii will definitely kill the percula. They are very aggressive and get really big. I have a female Clarkii that has grown to about 5" in the last year. She tries to tear my fingers off when I put them in the tank.

My clarks became mean.
Right now I have a pair of false percs and a pair of pink skunks
that seem to get along well.
Mixing clowns can be a challenge depending on what kind
Sometimes they may get along when young and then change w/ maturity

what is that freaky thing in your avatar JRPHD?

Oh and I probably wouldnt mix them even in a 240. Clarkii's don't really care that there is 6 feet between them I am sure.

ok thnxs that's what i was wondering if they would fight. I've come attacted to the perc. So i wouldn't want him to get hurt.

clarkies are mean, they attack anything regardless of its size. Same with tomato clowns. Only clowfish i recomend is the percula type.

I have a tomato and a clarkii in my 125. The tomato is the dominant female and the clarkii is submissive. Occasionally she beats him up, but not too bad. When I added the clarkii to the 55 years back the tomato harassed him for about a month. Once the clarkii learned his place, they began to coexist. It can be done. A clarkii may not bother a perc as much, being they do not resemble eachother much.

Bethany, that freaky thing in my Avatar happens to be my chinchilla silver persian as a kitten. Just happens to be the negative of the photo :D.
