Looking to find out if anyone has had success keeping green haddoni's under t-5's.

I have a aquatic life 4 bulb T-5 fixture with the stock bulbs.

Any advice

tank is 18" deep and I have a 4" sand bed, its a 50 breeder

Yes,

I have a 40 breeder with the same light you have and my Haddoni has been doing fine. I have had him for over 8 months under this light.

i actually brought a bleached green haddoni back to color under a 4 bulb t5 in a 40b in a few months. should have plenty of light.

Awesome, I have a Purple LTA at the moment but its seem to have lost its purple. I am also worried that the LTA will cause the clowns to loose their black coloration.

would any bulbs be better?

your four fixture t5 lights will be more than enough for you haddoni to survive and thrive. put 2 actinic plus, 1 kz pink and one white light best combo in my opinion

Anyone have a bulb combo suggestion?

I am thinking of putting under a ati blue + and ati aqua blue special. Is a 6500 essential?

I have it under a super actinic and a blue plus that are old.

I only have two t5s

I would go with a blue + and aquablue special as they are they highest par bulbs from ati. You could use an aquasun from uvl but it's not a great looker, however it throws out a ton of par. The actinic is not enough, you will need more par in the long run to keep that nem healthy.

I have 4 blue+ 1 purple+ and 1 12k

I have pretty much the same tank with 4 HO T5's. Several people have commented on how good my light looks and I am able to keep pretty much any SPS I want as well. My bulbs are from front to back: UVL Actinic White - ATI Blue Plus - ATI AquaBlue Special - ATI Blue Plus

Phender, Ok now we need a FTS (a couple in fact) thanks

BTW, when should I replace the bulbs, they will be 1 yr old in august?

I try to replace T5s every year, but they are supposed to last a little longer. Since I have stopped using the "pure actinic" bulbs my system seems to maintain its original spectrum for a longer time.

I just took these right now, just for you :D. The tank is uncleaned and I am having a bit of an aptasia and algae problem but most the corals look nice and were grown from small pieces. I don't have a haddoni in here, but it is the same tank in which I kept my merten's for many years. I had to do two pics. You can't see anything if I only do one. Sorry the colors are a bit washed out. I should have bumped up the saturation a bit.
