can i keep plants

i have a 40 gallon reef with various corals and am thinking about putting some maidens hair and numerous other plants in my tank. i have 288 watts of PC over my tank. just wondering if plants would be alright?

Hi pdpreef,

If your corals are doing well algae should do well also. Maiden's hair seems to be one of the more difficult algae to take care of FWIW. Also, be sure that animals in your tank (snails, urchins, etc.) won't want to eat the algae you buy.
