Can I mate my cleaner shrimp?!?!?!?

I have a cleaner (skunk) shrimp in my tank and would love to mate him. This might be a funny question but is it possible do I just buy another and hope for the best?

Indeed, cleaner shrimp are hermaphrodites, so any two will breed. Both will produce eggs, but larvae do not survive in reef tanks.

Not at all, they will provide a nutritous meal for your corals and fish. They are tiny and planktonic, they will be eaten and removed by your filter/skimmer.

Great source of food for the tank. Usually happens shortly after lights out. First time I noticed it I was alarmed that my fish were acting eratic and swimming all over after lights out. Thought something was wrong. Looked closer and saw the shrimp larvae that the fish were having a feeding frenzie on.

The two I have in my tank seem to release larvae a week apart.
I've had them for 2 months and they both have done it twice, I cuaght some and put them in my QT but were sucked into the filters. If I catch some more and just put an air line in do you think they will survive?
Steve
