IME, the only successful mixing of blennies was a combtooth blenny and a fanged blenny in a 40. The two had no interest in one another.

I tried mixing two combtooth blennies, and I wished I had not. Also, lawnmower blennies are extremely aggressive, and I would never try mixing another combtooth blenny with one of these. I have one in a 150g and am certain he would finish off any blenny I added.

Well...My blenny is a lawnmower. And he is my first fish.

I'll stay with him...And yesterday he started to eat/scrap the hairs of my hand.

He is funny

Just to toss out another side - I have four in a 180. 1 Midas 1 lawn mower 1 tail spot and 1 yellow algae. They all have their own territory and I have see no issues with aggression. I would not attempt in a smaller tank though as stated earlier.

Not to hijack the thread, but on the same notion, could a Catalina Goby (Lythrypnus dalli)be added to an existing established tank with a starrly blenny and yellow watchman goby?

120 gallons 4x2x2.

I have had 6 before in a 450 gallon reef aquarium with no problems. As long as you had sufficient room for each one (maybe 50-75 gallons and 2 sq feet of bottom surface) you would be fine in my experience.

We have 1 Midas and 1 Lawnmower in our 50 gallon and they get along fine, they pretty much ignore each other. We have alot of live rocks and caves so I think that helps alot.
