ok so im selling my reef tank so i can hopefully start the clownfish breeding system sooner than later

but before i set it up i want to be POSITIVEif i could do anything better so i was planning on this

6 10 gallon tanks(3 on top of 3) each tank seperable from the reat
a sump to fit the 36x 20x 30 space underneath
a whole lota bioballs
a in sump pump pushing about 1200 gph
a skimmer good for 130 gallons(asm g4?)
store lighting? (dont know anything about the lighting requirements)
a lot of filter socks
heaters
a dehumidifier

anything else?

sounds alot like my setup, except I have 6 20gallon tanks, also I use live rock in the sump. and I use the ASM G4x skimmer. I'm only using half your flow though (about 600 gph). what species are you going to try? got any rare corals to get rid of when you tear down your reef? I'm growing corals also.. :eek1: my only possible change would be bigger tanks. good luck!!!

It may be a good idea to get a UV on the return just before the water hits the tanks.

evanbr-cool i was born in portland!no rare corals though im gona try occelaris but i was tol that 3-4 times turn over rate was good so i decided 1200 gph also i was thinking about the 20 gallon idea

kathy-how many bulbs would i need cause its on 2 seperate levels?
