Can I use a buffer w/ Novus 2 and 3?

I need to get some micro scratches out of an acrylic tank.

The bottles say to apply it with a a clean soft cloth. Can I use a buffer? If so, what type of pad should I use?

I have not found a buffing pad soft enough to be used. It produces it's own micro scratches while trying to buff out the original ones. Doing it by hand doesn't take that long.

I am also interested in the answer, I bought both a buffer and a wheel for my drill, perhaps a call to novus....
