Can I use this for a drain?

My basement has a sump pump down in a shallow well with a plastic lid over it.
Would it be against any codes to use it as a drain for saltwater and skimmate? I think it pumps it out to the creak behind the house!?!?

If thats a bad idea, How would I get a drain installed in the floor? Or could I DIY it?

putting salt water into a creak would not be good for the creak inhabitants plus you will have to pay for the electric you use to pump it from your sump crock. you should look for another drain like a floor drain or the washer drain so the water is treated before it reaches any lake, river or stream if you have to install a drain its not going to be easy because you will have to cut into the floor to tie into the sewer drain for your house and have a trap in the line so you wont get sewer gases in your house from your new drain good luck Dan
