Can i use this on the brs duel reactors?

Why not call BRS and speak with about your concerns and discuss the possibilities of using a similar pump. I think you will get plenty of opinions on here but I think asking the source would get you a bit more of a definitive answer...Then let us know what they say

What's nice about the maxi-jet 1200 is that it is a cheapo pump, but it's pretty darn reliable. If something happens to break, it's typically a $5 trip to the store.

I've got some maxijets that I use on and off for mixing salt water, QT Tank, etc.... that are over 6 years old lol. At most I've had to replace 2-3 impellers total on the 6+ Maxijet pumps I use periodically.

I used a MJ1200 in the past hooked to 2 of the TLF Phosban Reactors. The flow was just enough to run them in chain. I swapped to a dual pump set up though so I could better control the flow to each media reactor.

yup i just got a hold of BRS and he said the COLBALT (Italian) maxjet 1200 is the one they sell that does not rattle when dialing down the ball valve. the other maxjet 1200 is from marineland (Chinese pump) which creates a bunch of noise when dialing down the flow. he said that the ehiem pumps will work with their reactor but i would have to figure out how to connect the fittings to the reactor. no big deal i can swap out fittings and hoses. but since he clarified between the two pumps im just going to go with the colbalt so i dont have to worry about noise issues. I hope this helps everyone thats on the fence about the pump.

ps: but i would like to hear what other people have done to their duel reactors to customize there setup just in case in the future i decide to go with a different pumps. i just dont like cheap stuff thats all.

Hmm. All of mine are the Chinese ones. I don't typically valve them back at all though, so I wouldn't know about the rattling.

I think they are all pretty decent "budget" pumps regardless.

Glad you have everything all figured out.

yea it was stressful at one point. lol i think your pumps will be fine as along as you keep them wide open. if you dont dial em down you shouldn't have any noise problems.
