With fish in the tank. i do have ick but the live rock is so much and established in its place with corals that I will never be able to catch the fish and QT them.....

how bad is the ick? a few spots? or full blown, if it is a light case i incresed there feeding3X a day, with zoe, garlic guard, i am not saying this works for everybody but it did for me. also you got a uv light? if all the fish are covered then you will have to qt them with copper or hypo

it has been reported that over time fish that survive ich in a tank can develop some sort of immunity to it or not seem to be reinfected if another one gets it.

Got to agree, my long standing stock are very resilient to it, but ive lost 3 center piece fish in 3 months that were perfectly healthy then when introduced died within a few weeks.

Im now setting a uv and allowing 3/12 before any more stock goes in.

The bacteria is pretty full blown and is taking fish left and right. Am feeding more and just hoping for the best....

i use cleaner shrimp

i use cleaner shrimp

I have lost lots of fish in my last tank from ich,
I try to have at least three cleaner shrimp in my tank now to clean the fish. my fish started getting ich, I cant say it is becouse of the shrimp but all my fish are clean of ich and i used nothing els.

the big problem for me is that you need to buy two cleaner shrimp to get one in the tank, they die so easy, it is the only thing i buy for my tank that will be dead before even oppening the bag. i have those shrimp but i cant live without them.
