can mag drive pumps pull water above the water line? I want to setup a closed loop with a mag drive 9.5, but it would have to be above the water level about 3-4 inches through either a 90* or 2 45* elbows. can it be done? I also have a mag drive 24 running an ETSS which may also need to be above the water level.

they can, but depending on how high the pump is off the water line there will be some drp off in preassure.

I think it will depend on what model mag drive you are using, but most of them aren't "self priming" so no they wont work.

If you are running the pump as a closed loop there will be no drop off in pressure (other then whats caused by friction in the plumbing). The head hight will be the same at the input and output there fore Zero head, therefore no flow lose.
