Just wondering if Metal Halides can damage glass ?

I'm in the process of setting up my Metal Halide pendants (2 x 150 watts DE and 1 x 250 watts DE) over my tank. My tank is Euro-braced, so there's no braces in the middle. But I just want to be sure not to damage anything. I know Metal Halides can easily damage acrylic if they are too close over time, but wondering if the same can be said for a glass tank. My tank is made of 1/2" glass.

Thanks for the comments !

I don't think you can damage the actual tank, but I will never run a metal halide over a glass brace again. I had a fan failure and broke the glass over my 75 gallon tank a few years back. Fun!

With eurobracing you should be fine. The heat is not very intense except directly above and below the halide. Fans help too.
