Can montis be placed right next to each other?

as the question asks.
i have two montis almost touching (superman and sunset) should it be fine? will they start chem warfare? or will they fuse and turn into a rainbow monti :D

Most likely they will not fuse unless they are the same species. And even then, it can be difficult. They will probably meet up and grow different directions.

if you don't mind...can I see a pic of your sunset...I think I have one and not sure. Thanx

justin, i'd show you a pic, but the state its in isn't representative of a sunset. just think of a low dimple monti, orange/tan base, with neon green polyps :)

so i'm taking, no chem warfare will happen?

yeah...thats what I thought. mine is a dark orange with neon green polyps

Thanx

i would just frag them when the get too close, i think thats a better solution than watching your sunset over take your superman... i have seen different colored digitatas take each other over and out. plus then you can sell me a couple frags ;)

glue a rock inbetween them and when they incrust up it you can pop the rock off and put a new one down...cut the rock in half, and now you have a frag of each...

pink digi kills brown digi, green digi, orange cap; so montis can kill other montis, which one would win between your two is something i can't say.

My green with orange polyp M. digitata is currently overgrowing my purple M. digitata. Just encrusting right overtop of it.

Yah, stick a plug or something between them. Then when they start to encrust it, cut it out from in between them and split it in half. Now you have 2 $50 frags

My SM was a faster grower, it will most likely win. Seperate or block if you can. Each piece will grow in another direction eventually if you leave them but I'd just avoid the bet.
