Can One Drip Magnesium?

How come people don't drip magnesium, just like they do w/ kalk?

mainly because the tanks dont use mag like they do calcium. i only have to add about 50ml a month myself so whats the point in dripping.

I add Mg to my 30g once a week, it's the only tank that seems to need it; the others keep good levels with regular water changes. I have a ghetto little topoff system that's basically a bottle, airline and a hospital thumbwheel and drip the Mg overnight the same way I drip Ca or buffer.

I drip it ~ mixed in with a gallon of water for top offs when needed.
