Without having to read the whole thread above, Yes they can live together, but as with all marine life some sircumstances will be present, anything you add to a reef needs to be watched until its known its not a problem.
Yes they can but my cleaner shrimp always picked on my peppermint shrimp. That is untill I put a condy Anemone in my tank and the peppermint only saw LUNCH!!! So I made him a three gal. home of his on at work on my desk.
In my tank, 5 peppermint shrimp and two skunk cleaner shrimp live peacefully. Albeit the peps live on one side, the cleaners on the other. Who knows if I missed any battles!
My coral banded and skunk cleaner seem to do just fine in my 46. I got them at the same time and have had them for about 2 weeks. The skunk tends to fight shy of the banded once the lights go out but they seem behave them selves the rest of the time. Once again hard to tell what battles have been waged while not watching!
True peps and skunk cleaners (both are Lysmata species) should be OK together.
If it's possible, Coral Banded Shrimp (Stenopus) will catch and kill (smaller but quicker) Lysmata shrimps.
