Can probes be completely submerged?

As the title says, can temp and ph (and orp) probes be completely submerged? I don't have a good probe holder so just curious if I can just let them sit at the bottom of the sump?

I don't believe so..
Kind of doubt the wire entrance/cap section is fully sealed..
But I believe you would need to contact the manufacturer of that specific probe..

Not saying they recommend it but my temp probe is completely submerged. It's been like that for 2 years. My ph probe is in a holder not completely submerged. Your results may vary.

Mine are also completely submerged.

The manufacturers say they will last longer if you keep the wire out of the water but they can be fully submerged.
