can seahorses get ick????

is it something that they can get if they're in a tank with a fish with ick?? if so, how would you treat them?

It's not a common thing, but yes - if they are in a tank with fish that are infected they can get ich. You may see a few spots on their fins, but rarely on their body. Mostly the ich would infect their gills and the only signs would be labored breathing. You would have to treat with hyposalinity as copper isn't a recommended treatment.

Personally, this is another reason I don't house any fish in any of my seahorse tanks. Most fish are WC and can harbor parasites such as ich, resulting in the hobbyist having to deal with something they really shouldn't have to deal with.
