Definitely an acan. Mine always did really well when I spot fed them mysis and pellets. Just watch out for any shrimp that may attack the acan to get the food you just gave it. I had a peppermint do it once.

It was recently reclassified under Micromussa lordhowensis though.

Not to be rude or anything, but why would you by a coral without knowing what it is? Research is important.

I have been to many LFS and they sell frags without listing name or know what they are!

At first look, I thought it has branches. but closer look, as other said, it's an acan frag.

although i dont entirely agree with awesomedavid, i would say he is more right than wrong. i have bought corals without knowing what it was, ok lfs told me, i just forgot but seriously i would think twice about shopping at a lfs who cant even tell you the names of the stuff they are selling. would you shop at a burger place who only told you its something in between 2 loafs of bread

I didnt buy it, this tank was just given to me with all the corals and fish thats why I asked you guys for the name so i can do my research, i know its important.
