There are a bunch of these things on the back glass and I'm not sure what they are or how long they have been there. Just noticing them because I finnaly put a background on my tank lol. Can someone tell me what they are?

are they motile (able to move on their own) or sessile (fixed in one place)?

a little hard to tell from the pics, but i could buy them as pineapple sponges, or maybe a type of pod. could also be hydroids, or something else.

how large are they?

Melev's Reef has a real good list of critters that can be helpful to ID things in your tank:

I never see them move so i don't think they can move own there own... They aren't very big but I can see them easy when I look into the tank about the size of a small pebble or big grain of sand. I only see them on the glass

What type of flow are they in? I agree, look like pineapple sponge, I had them before with no issues.

Hitchhikers have a funny way of finding their way in. Many of them have reproduction strategies that involve some form or another of a pelagic stage where their larvae drift on the current. Others might be small enough to slip in with some tank water, or as a different proto-form on the animal. Still others can conceal themselves in rocks or sand.
