Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if someone could ID this for me.

It's not the greatest picture, but hopefully good enough to get a general idea.

The pic lost most of the color. It's bright green.

Thanks In Advance! :)

Probably a green nephthea or green sinularia- tend to best with pretty high water flow and moderate to strong lighting. Fast growers when in good conditions, and easy to propogate :)

impossible to tell without some polyp extension. even then you might need a microscope and a PhD. I guess Green Nepthia (but that is all anyone is doing)

Oh man.. It's on now!

I dont know if I can get a shot with polyp extension, neither of the 2 corals I need an ID for are looking that great for some reason (figures!) I think they are both going through the old softie syndrome of looking like crap for a week..everything else in the tank is doing fine and all my params seem right on.

I'll try and get some better pictures tonight.

Thanks again!

I haven't forgotten about this, the corals are finally starting to color back up and have some polyp extension again, so I am waiting till they are looking a little better before I take more pics.

Hopefully in another few days! :)

Well, One still looks a little crappy... But I Took a pic of the same one that is pictured above.

I decided to go for an actinic shot... Not the best, but it shows some polyp extension.

notice how the stalk extends with the polyps. That is why I think it is a nepthia. Mine extends short like this when stressed (lights coming on) or I get to close to it.

Okay, I finally got a decent shot of the other coral that I thought was the same thing... It's not as green as the other one. What do you all think?

The Kenya Tree Coral, also referred to as a Cauliflower Soft Coral, Nephthea, or Nephthya, is similar to the members of both the Litophyton and Nephthea genera.
