Can SPS go through immediate color change?

Hi folks,

Last night I siphoned/cleaned out my entire sump, recharge purigen and today I noticed a slight color change with my orange and green monti cap..they appear a little lighter. Also my purple monti cap that was brown before lightened up to a purple this morning. Can SPS frags change dramatically overnight?

yes. not likely but they can. brown to purple sounds like a good change. when was last time u cleaned sump or did water change?

I haven't cleaned my sump in like 2 months but I make a 10% water change every 1 1/2 weeks or so. I recharged the purigen with a 1:1 water and bleach mix. I soaked the bag in fresh water with prime declorinator overnight. Do you think some of the color change can be due to some Chlorine leaching? I made sure I used enough Prime dechlorinator.

Other then the Monti Caps, eveything else looks the same..PE remain the same.

just sounds like bleaching- your lights are able to penetrate clearer water better so the lighting is more intense on the corals causing a light bleaching. if this continues lessen the number of hours you run your lights and slowly increase it back to where it was.
