I wanted to be able to control when the MH lights come on and off, pretty sure that's simple.

BUT at the same time I want to have it shut off if the temperature goes too high.

Can the AC Jr do this?

Yes it can. Use the IF TEMP statement.

IF TEMP >82 THEN MH1 OFF Shuts off light at 82 degrees.
