Can these fish get ICH??

I am in the process of setting up a 29g HYPO tank to treat my fish for ICH.

My question is can a scooter blenny or lawnmower blenny get ich. I have heard that mandirans can't get ich because of an oil secreted out of the skin. So I'm thinking that the scooter can't get it either. Neither fish show any sings of ich at all.

If they can get ICH how can I keep the scooter alive in a qt tank with no rock?
No rock = no pods = no food
Same for the lawnmower no rock = no alage = no food.

You can feed arcti-pods and alage pellets. I am sure they are mostly resistant. But if it's the ich's only means of keeping alive, I still think it's possible. Only one cyst needs to stay alive to repopulate. Ich doesn't just stay on the skin. They are in the gills too. Those types are more disease resistant. But I think they can still carry one or two hosts to keep it going. Keep them in a smaller tank or plum the 29g to a 10g with an overflow and keep the less competitive fish in the 10g that way you can target feed. There was an article that I read that if you feed around the same time every day, and feed at the same spot, and tap on the top before you feed you can teach the fish to eat anything. Start out with some live brine and then everyday, use the same technique. Even putting the live brine in a dish. Than every day throw in some frozen brine or mysis along with the live brine and the feeding response should take on to where they are grabbing it without thinking about it. Similar to Pavlov's conditioning. The key is to do it where there is no competition. Hope this helps. I suggest still QT everything.

I don't know if the lawnmower will eat pellets.
How about the CUC and shrimp?
I have 1 fire shrimp, 1 skunk cleaner shrimp, and all sorts of snails and crabs. Will they be ok in the DT.
What if I just put a little rock in the QT tank with them along with pvc pieces?

Well, the shrimp and cuc will be fine in the DT, parasites can only feed off of fish. Rock in the QT is usually not done. If you treat with copper it will kill the rock, if you treat with Hypo the rock will be fine, but everything that you are wanting to be on the rock to help the fish ie: pods, algae, and bacteria will die. Mostly catch 22. You can have some macro algae set to grow in a 10g. And put it in your qt to feed, only thing is if it is from your display, there is a chance that it has dormant ich cysts on the algae and there in lies the other catch 22.

Yea that what I was thinking of doing. Taking a little cheto and shaking it in the 29g QT tank, but was worried of the ICH in it. But wouldn't the hypo kill the ICH when it was in the QT tank quickly.
I will pass on putting rock in the QT tank and just use pvc.
I'm still worried about the scooter blenny and a food source. Theres really no source of pods close to my town. Have to drive an hour to Columbus for them.
