I have a beautiful torch and today a got a hammer coral. The best spot I have for it, where it will look the best is by my torch. Being in the same family of coral I'm wondering if it is harmful if they sometimes, not frequently, slightly touch?

Generally, most Euphyllia have no problems being around one another. Supposedly however, the torch coral has a reputation for being one of the more aggressive than its other two cousins, frogspawn and hammer. Some say their torch plays nice, and other say they don't. But as mentioned above, it definitely couldn't hurt to give each at least a couple inches space. HTH

I think in a well fead tank and quality water and the right flow then they wouldnt feel the need to fight. But stressed and underfead then anything is possible.
