Can any one please tell me if a pair of blue throat triggers be mixed with a Pink tail trigger in the same tank.

Display tank size is 6 x 2 x 2.5

Thanks in advance

some triggers will live together but it really depends on the induvidual temperment of them. You might get lucky and and the pinktail will be ok, you just cant tell untill you try it. Be prepared to remove it if they dont get along. Ive seen triggers get along that werent supposed to,and on the other hand Ive seen triggers that should get along fight like heck. So....as I said its a gamble. If you have plenty of places for them to hide you might be ok. Sometimes it depends on who was added first .

Agreed, it's a pretty big gamble, especially considering that the Bluethroats will be kept as a pair. Gives the male (or female) more reason "not to like" the third wheel, you know?

Very Intresting Comments Guys, totally different from what thguys over the pond on UR and saying but thats what forums are all about, views and options

Welp, see, there's a chance it'll work, right? And if you hear from limited experiences, where it's worked for them in a couple of instances or a few or all that they're aware of, hey, they've been 100% successful, right? So, in their experience, their opinion is valid. There's a good chance, however, that as Triggers mature they'll be less tolerant of other Triggers. IF I were to do it, it would be with single specimens of each species. JMO.

Not sure, I think maybe I would take the "tang' approach and get something different. The Pinktail and Blue Throats are pretty close in shape, maybe a niger or picasso would stand up better.

Actually, Nigers and Picassos are NOT coral pickers. They might turn over rocks and such, though, and eat any crustaceans, but corals should be fine. I wouldn't put a Picasso in with a Pinktail or Bluethroat, tho.
