can u feed mantis during the day?

Anyone feed their mantis during the day so u can watch em eat? Will they eat forzen foods like mysis shrimp..etc? Also, do both the spearers and slashers make the clicking sound?

spearers will not make the clicking sound, and you can feed them druning they day depending if they are active during the day. If its burrow is closed up, then dont feed it, but if its open, it will probably come out it eat. For food, I gave mine some frozen raw white shrimp I got at kroger, but I had to chop them into smaller pieces. One bag of shrimp lasted me over 6 months of feeding (along with giving it snails and hermits too).

I've always fed mine during the day - they're most active then. Mine is out exploring right now, as a matter of fact.

most owners of mantis shrimp will feed them during the day, i feed my peacock during the day

I typically feed my wenn in the late afternoon or evening (my convenience) - He always has access to astreas though, so he may eat during the day
