can you ID this dead coral (pic inside)

Kinda want to ID what this is a skeleton to.

I have it sitting in my tank and its about 3.5"x3.5"

Not a detailed enough shot for species, but I would guess Favia genus, possibly Montastrea, though I doubt it.

that is a very long tentacled torch coral. probably one of the most interesting pieces in my tank which is primarily euphyllia corals.

i have one of those too and always wondered what it was also, some guy gave it to me with a frag on top

actually, is does look alot like that skeleton of whatever that is attached to. is that the animal's dead skeleton? if so that look a ton like it.
