looks like a percula to me, but with a different pic it could look more like an ocellaris. Get a closeup of the head if u can it will be easier to tell.

i could be wrong thats why gave the link. i just put in my opinion. its mainly the color that made me think of a clarkii.

what do you mean by morph? like a ocellaris and a percula mix?

No not a mix of perc/ocellaris. I mean like how there are percs with no stripes, black percs, percs with spots instead of stripes. Ive even seen a maroon clow morph called a "jigsaw" maroon. Instead of its stripes being smooth on the edges they were ver jagged and random

Thanks!

Thanks!

Thanks for all the replies, so the concensus on the subject is a black ocellaris variation?

I tried to get a closer picture but my camera isn't get for close ups.
Here are two more.

I have a mated pair if them but the 2nd stripe is not broken, they were 50$ea how much were yours?

The Black Percs RULE!!!!!!!!

I have an ocellaris that looks like that. Actually a little more orange in the face and along the underside. Not sure about perc vs. ocellaris, but you've got one of two things:

1. It has 1 black parent and 1 orange parent. This is why mine looks the way it does. A friend of mine had an orange and black mated pair and raised a few batches of the babies.

2. I believe the black ones may not turn totally black until they get a little older. So you may also just have a really young black one? Is this correct?

That is a black and white Ocillaris from ORA.

True percula's will not have so much black in them. They will have an orange head and the second dorsal and anal fin will be orange, 90% of the onyx percs will also have an orange tail & pectoral fins as well. Its actually extreemly easy to tell the difference in the two.

If you take a look on the clownfish & anem. forum I'm sure there will be tons of people to post pics to help show you the difference.
