Can you mix Anthias in general?

Was wondering if it would be possible to mix other anthias together?? Would there be aggression towards other anthias who are different?

yes. there is always a pecking order, but you can.

there are worse fish to combine, anthias are not too aggressive, and after the initial bullying, all will be fine.

i have 2 blotchy and 1 Ignitus. they are fine. the lyratails are a bit bigger than the blotchy anthias. i guess it would depend on fishes displacement. the blotchy's will hide for awhile when they are new. if you already have the lyratail, wouldnt worry about it too much. if you have not purchased the lyratail, i would prob go with something smaller, like the sunbursts, IMO

yes it will be fine assuming the tank it a decent size, they pick on each other a little but shouldnt be a problem in a tank 4ft or larger. Just make sure there is only one male.

I've mixed multiple species, including males, without issue. I have had more issues with females of the same species fighting than anything else. You need lots of space, though....

yeppers, one kicked the bucket. came from a different batch. thats life, when you order online. to be fair, it was around when the midwest got hit with a bad storm, and instead of 10:00 am delivery, didnt get there till 5:00 pm!

thats life. for the price, no complaints. still nice.

tom, could you give a quick rundown of all the anthias species you have in your tank, and if any species proved to be problematic? I read through your totm but that was from a few years ago, and i was wondering if there have been any changes.

I believe that is true for some species (particularly those from deeper water), but not all.

you should be fine putting a harem in a tank that size. Just make sure you can handle the added bioload, they require multiple daily feedings.
