Can you refrigerate mysis?

Can you refrigerate Mysis after you thaw them out to use sporadically to feed thru the day?

How long will the refrigerator keep them?

How many times a day do you feed?

Approx how many Mysis shrimp do you feed per horse?

So far my pair of Erectus are doing well and have both eaten their first meal...

Your not supposed to refrigerate. Something about as it thaws the fatty acids break down and some bacteria build up. I do it, but only for a few hours at a time. I do it for my reef, not my horses though. I feed the reef 1/2 a cube every two hours 4x a day so it works for me.

I feed my seahorse once a day some days, twice a day other days. If I'm really into it a third once and a while. No rhyme or reason really. Most days just once.

I feed a cube of PE mysis which is about twice what she needs.

One cube twice a day per pair of horses is the rule of thumb many go by.

I feed PE mysis twice a day,4 or 5 each horse(they are large mysis)I thaw enough in tank water in a plastic cup with a lid to feed both feedings and refrigerate.I don't keep them in the fridge longer than 10 hours or so.Just be careful when thawing not to break up the shrimp.

Forgot to say that I have read a lot on feeding and a lot of people seem to refrigerate without problems.I wouldn't keep them more than 10 or 12 hours though.

i feed twice a day and i refrigerate mysis between feedings. i thaw a cube for the first feeding and keep the rest in the fridge for the second feeding. never more than just that day though. i wouldnt let it sit overnight.
