I'm building a 30 gallon sump for my tank and have some Marine Silicone (for Boats) here and wanted to know if I could use it for the sump baffles? It is for a 90 gal tank, if that makes a difference, and It will be a week or 2 before start adding water.

I wouldn't trust it simply because I've never used it. I would make a run through the ingredients list, get an MSDS sheet, and make sure non of the chemicals are toxic. For what it's worth, GE Silicon I: Window and Door is safe to use on marine aquariums. Make sure not to get GE Silicon II. It has toxic mold inhibitors. You can usually find a tube for a couple bucks at any hardware store. Heck, even my local WalMart has it in stock.

Yeah I can't find the ingredients on it. I have tried searching the internet with no luck.. So I will just run up and get some new stuff. Not a big deal just had some here.

Thanks
