Hey all -

So I picked up a candy cane about 2 weeks ago for my 20 long...and he has been slightly "deflated" ever since i got him, and not fully green and bright. I cant ecaxtly nail whats the problem though - all of my other corals are doing fantastic, fish are health...i have proper flow, good levels, and what not...

Any suggestions?? heres the little guy...

I don't think it looks terribly distressed (except for the dead head :-) Some corals take awhile to acclimate. My candy canes go through periods where they look shriveled and then pop back. They seem to be doing ok as they've quadrupled in size in less than a year.

Mine look like that after I feed them and if the lights have just come on. Could be acclimation to lighting. That would be my guess.

Yeah, its so weird...cause they'll look fantastic for a day, then crappy for 4-5...I'm hoping that its just that they're acclimating still. lets cross our fingers.

Acclimation to lights and water chemistry. Very normal for LPS. You may try after a few days moving it to find where it likes to be. Mine does well mid tank and mid flow. I'm running T5ho's, ATI bulbs. Growth, After purchasing it from a LFS that was going to throw it away one year ago, it has doubled in size.
