Candy Cane Coral: Growing Skelton: Help

Hello,
I have a candy cane coral that started out as 2 heads and now has approx 20. Growing good but looks to be all flesh and not much skelton. I have tried KALK to increase the calcium in the tank. The SPS corals are growing fine. I'm just concerned how to have the skelton part of the coral to grow. any suggestions?

You know I have the same issue. here are two pics of ones in my tank that have taken on a competely different growth pattern,

the striped candycanes have stayed pretty much to one stalk but have bunched up more and more, they started with only like 4 heads/mouths, now theyre uncountable.
The greens have grown a new stalk with each new head it seems. These started with 2 heads/mouths.

Ive had both frags for about a year and in the same tank on different sides. Id be curious to know too what causes the different growth pattern.

IMO that is how Caulastrea should look. Thats how they have always grown in my tank...nice and plump.
