Candy Cane Coral Question

I have a candy cane that looks great and has not shown any signs of problems. I picked it up to clean the glass and it had like a cotton/cottonball type stuff on it??? What is it? All my water tests are coming out normal except my calcium being at 360 (not too bad) and my KH still being high. Tank is running from 79.8-82.9(day)

Yep. Is that bad? Steve said the other day that there was only a few sponges that didn't require some kind of bacterial plankton??? So will it just die off and be fine?

The sponge could live and thrive, it likely will not harm your coral.
Alot of LPS have different bryzoans, sponges, and tunicates growing on the skeleton, more neat diversity.

I'd leave it be unless you start noticing an adverse reaction from your candy canes.

A picture's worth 1000 words - do you have a camera?

I have a black sponge thingie thats growing on the botom of my galaxia - pretty cool.

From your description, your's sounds like mine. For what it is worth, I ain't touchin' mine. :)
Its all part of normal reef living, i'd leave it alone.
