a candy cane frag fell on my orange Monti cap. It might have been there over the weekend. The Monti is now turning white and it's spreading. Will it survive and regrow the damaged area?? R
if your conditions are good and the cap was already growing it should recover. The area that made contact will probably die but the coral should grow over the dead spot in a short time.
The cap will probably develop an interesting convolution. This is a very calcium-hungry coral, and if you keep it well-supplied, repair should be quick. How's the candy cane?
